FluidFM for single-cell biophysics

چکیده

Abstract Fluidic force microscopy (FluidFM), which combines atomic (AFM) with microchanneled cantilevers connected to a pressure controller, is technique allowing the realization of force-sensitive nanopipette under aqueous conditions. FluidFM has unique advantages in simultaneous three-dimensional manipulations and mechanical measurements biological specimens at micro-/nanoscale. Over past decade, shown its potential biophysical assays particularly investigations single-cell level, offering novel possibilities for discovering underlying mechanisms guiding life activities. Here, we review utilization address biomechanical issues sciences. Firstly, fundamentals are represented. Subsequently, applications biophysics level surveyed from several facets, including manipulations, spectroscopy, electrophysiology. Finally, challenges perspectives future progressions provided.
